Mayor Thanasis Mamakos visited the flood-affected settlement of Koulouri, promising to prioritize the demolition of buildings that owners have yet to receive financial assistance for. Koulouri suffered significant damage from the recent floods caused by Storm Daniel and was previously impacted by the 2021 earthquake. The municipal authorities announced that 29 structures are deemed ready for demolition. Additionally, residents with pending aid applications can submit new requests until the end of 2024.
