The Municipal Council of South Pilion unanimously accepted Mayor Michalis Mitsikou’s proposal to grant a one-time birth allowance of €3,000 for families welcoming their third child. This decision comes after a prior rejection by the Decentralized Administration of Thessaly. The Municipality is contesting the earlier ruling, intending to challenge what it calls an unfounded decision with significant social implications. The grant will be available to resident families of South Pilion.
