Iranian journalist and human rights activist Narges Mohammadi has been temporarily released from prison for medical reasons after undergoing surgery for a benign tumor. Mohammadi, who won the 2023 Nobel Peace Prize for her fight against the oppression of women in Iran, has spent much of the last decade incarcerated. Despite her release, her supporters believe it is insufficient, especially given her ongoing advocacy for human rights and freedom for all.
