NASA Astronauts Highlight Voting from Space

NASA astronauts aboard the International Space Station recently shared a photo showcasing their patriotic socks adorned with the American flag colors. Astronaut Nick Hague emphasized the importance of voting, stating, ‘It doesn’t matter if you are sitting, standing, or floating. What matters is that you vote.’ Since 1997, astronauts have been able to cast their votes remotely, utilizing a special application process mirroring other Americans living abroad. Their electronic ballots are securely sent to the White Sands Test Facility in New Mexico before being processed for the elections.
