National Broadband Ireland (NBI) has changed its completion schedule, bringing forward broadband connections for 65,000 homes, farms, and businesses to 2025. This includes 32,000 premises now scheduled for connection this year, thanks to progress made in 2024. NBI has facilitated access to high-speed fibre broadband for over 320,829 premises, with more than 110,000 already connected. CEO Peter Hendrick emphasized the commitment to meeting deadlines and recommended consumers explore options from the nearly 70 broadband providers utilizing the NBI network.
