On November 20, 2024, labor centers and unions from Kozani, Ptolemaida, and Kastoria are participating in a nationwide strike organized by GSEE and ADEDY. The strike highlights the negative impact of lignite phase-out measures and the need for increased investment in the region. Gatherings are set for 11 AM in Kozani’s central square and separate events are planned for 11 AM and 5 PM in Grevena and Florina respectively.
