NATO Takes Charge of Military Aid Coordination to Ukraine Ahead of Trump Presidency
NATO has officially taken over the coordination of military assistance to Ukraine from the United States, a move aimed at bolstering western support as Donald Trump prepares to assume the presidency. This development, which follows several months of delays, grants NATO a more direct role in the response to the Russian invasion. However, diplomats express concerns that Trump’s skepticism about NATO may limit its effectiveness, as the U.S. remains the primary military supporter of Ukraine. The new NATO mission headquarters will be based in Wiesbaden, Germany.
