A Hellenic Navy S70B Aegean Hawk helicopter conducted a medical evacuation on December 30, 2023, after a request from the Unified Coordination Center for Search and Rescue. The operation involved airlifting an ill crew member from the Russian-flagged cargo ship M/V ENISEY, located 25 nautical miles west of Kythira. The patient was then transferred to Kalamata Airport, where an ambulance from the National Center for Immediate Assistance took over.
