New AI Tools Combat Fraud in Greek Health System
The Greek National Organization for Healthcare Services Provision (EOPYY) is implementing new artificial intelligence anti-fraud tools to enhance resource management and improve service delivery for its 11 million beneficiaries. With a focus on real-time monitoring and patient-centered services, the organization is addressing complaints related to service denials and improper charges. Key initiatives include electronic prescriptions, online appointment bookings, and the introduction of one-time passwords (OTP) to confirm beneficiary presence during service use. These changes aim to improve the quality and efficiency of healthcare services in Greece.
