To mark the 34th anniversary of the Stolperstein memorials, a new app has been launched in Bremen and Schleswig-Holstein to help students learn about the victims of the Nazi regime. The app allows users to scan Stolpersteine, revealing the biographies of people like Wolfgang Wille, who was murdered in 1944. As part of an educational initiative, the app is pre-installed on students’ tablets, making history accessible beyond textbooks. The goal is to foster a deeper understanding of the impact of Nazi terror on local communities and promote awareness of the diverse victims targeted during that time.
