New Book Explores Greece’s Dictatorship Through Children’s Eyes

In the upcoming event ‘Chartographies’ in Zografou, Greek author Olympios Daphermou presents his book ‘I Talk to My Children About the Junta.’ The book aims to educate young readers about the 1967-1974 military dictatorship and the Polytechnical uprising. Through a father’s dialogue with his children, it highlights the brutal nature of the regime, which silenced dissent through imprisonment and violence, and emphasizes the peaceful resistance of students. Daphermou, a former anti-dictatorship activist, complements the narrative with historical photos and insights from his own experiences.
