New Budget Approved for Peloponnese Region Despite Opposition
The new budget for the Peloponnese Region was passed by majority vote, amounting to nearly €335 million. While the budget is deemed balanced and growth-oriented by regional leaders, opposition representatives, including Dina Nikolaou and Manolis Makaris, criticized it as lacking vision and investment. They argued that the budget does not adequately address the citizens’ needs, reflecting the government’s and European Union’s priorities. This budget marks the first complete action plan of the new regional administration.
