New Campaign Encourages Motorcycle Riders to Wear Helmets or Face Refusal of Gasoline Sales
A new campaign launched by the Greek Ministries of Health and Development, in collaboration with the Federation of Gas Station Owners, aims to raise awareness among motorcycle riders about helmet safety by refusing gasoline sales to those not wearing helmets. While the initiative currently serves as a recommendation rather than a mandate, gas station owners express concerns about its feasibility. The campaign was partly prompted by a tragic accident involving a teenager in Crete and seeks to highlight the rising number of road accidents in the country.
