A new civil protection exercise involving all stakeholders will take place in Larissa, Trikala, and Karditsa next week, as announced by Thessaly regional governor Dimitris Koureta. He addressed local media regarding the impacts of the recent severe weather event ‘Bora’, noting that rainfall in Thessaly amounted to one-third of that experienced during the Daniel storm. The governor also demonstrated the functioning of the Thessaly Civil Protection warning system in real-time.
