New Daily Ferry Service Between Pembroke and Dublin Announced
Starting January 7, an additional daily ferry service will be introduced between Pembroke, Wales, and Dublin, operated by the Isle of Innisfree. This comes after Storm Darragh caused the closure of Holyhead ferry port over the Christmas period. The move aims to enhance travel options for passengers and freight carriers. Irish Transport Minister Eamon Ryan commended the collaborative efforts of various stakeholders in securing this alternative route during the ongoing situation at Holyhead, with part of the port set to reopen on January 16.
