A bilingual photobook titled ‘Picturing the Past – Figures and Colours of Rhodope’ was presented in Komotini, featuring 80 photographs by renowned photographer Michalis Pappas. The book highlights traditional costumes and the diverse identities of 22 ethnic groups in the multicolored cultural mosaic of the Rhodope region. Authored by ethnographer Dr. Naya Dalakoura, with contributions from experts in folklore and dance, the book aims to preserve and showcase the rich history and culture of the region through visual storytelling. The event included a parallel photography exhibition.
