The Greek Ministry of Development has initiated a price reduction program effective from October 22, involving over 500 products with price cuts ranging from 5% to 24%. Minister Takis Theodorikakos emphasized efforts to combat inflation, especially for middle-class households. The initiative includes special labeling in supermarkets to aid consumers and has plans to expand to over 600 items. Alongside this, the ministry is enhancing market controls and will introduce festive shopping baskets for the Christmas season.
