New Program to Support Young Farmers in Greece Launched
The Greek government has initiated the ‘Young Farmers Establishment’ program, part of the 2023-2027 Common Agricultural Policy Strategic Plan, with a budget of €410 million. Financial support of up to €40,000 per farmer is available, increasing to €44,000 in islands and disadvantaged areas. Applications can be submitted electronically from November 29 until January 22, 2025. This initiative aims to attract and retain young farmers, promote sustainable development, and encourage women’s participation in agriculture, while enhancing local integration and economic growth in rural areas.
