The Social Protection and Solidarity Association of the municipalities of Mytilene and Western Lesbos has announced the hiring of a social worker and a driver to create a mobile unit. This initiative aims to visit 36 communities daily to inform vulnerable groups about available benefits and assistance. President Nikos Spanos highlighted the dire poverty in the area and the necessity for community support. Future plans include a homeless structure and a senior care center, alongside improvements in local child care facilities.
