New Sports Legislation in Greece: Key Reforms Proposed by Deputy Minister Giannis Vroutsis
Giannis Vroutsis, the Deputy Minister of Sports in Greece, has introduced a new sports legislation bill open for public consultation until January 7, 2025. The bill includes provisions for financial rewards for Olympians finishing between 4th and 6th place, acknowledgment of UEFA C coaches’ professional rights, and support measures for coaches lacking high school diplomas. The government aims to enhance safety in sports facilities and establish a system for recognizing athlete’s health cards digitally, along with several other significant reforms.
