New Study Reveals Lifespan and Performance of Electric Car Batteries

A recent study by P3 and Aviloo has shown that electric car batteries lose approximately 5% of their capacity within the first 30,000 kilometers, but retain about 87% capacity even after 200,000 kilometers. The analysis of data from 7,000 vehicles indicates that slower driving and careful charging can significantly extend battery life, potentially up to 20 years. Additionally, the study highlights the impact of charging speed and temperature on battery degradation, stressing the importance of optimal conditions for maintaining battery performance.
