New Waste Transfer Stations Project in Crete Receives Funding Agreement
The president of the Waste Management Authority of Crete, Alexis Kalokairinos, signed a funding agreement for the equipment of waste transfer stations in the municipalities of Heraklion and Rethymno, amounting to €5.36 million. This project is part of a regional waste management plan aimed at addressing the unique geography of Crete, improving waste transportation efficiency, and includes mobile equipment that will help compress waste for transport to landfills.
