Athens welcomed 2025 with a vibrant New Year’s celebration at the Christmas Village in Pedion tou Areos, featuring a concert by Christos Mastoras and the band Melisses. The event attracted over 15,000 attendees, who enjoyed a dazzling drone show that illuminated the sky with festive symbols. The evening included a countdown from Syntagma Square, led by Attica Governor Nikos Hardalias, and the concert had a charitable aspect, with proceeds benefitting vulnerable community groups.
