A traditional New Year’s event honoring the youth leaders of the local churches took place at the Thessaly Conference Center. Approximately 150 youth leaders attended alongside clergy members. The event began with a blessing of the New Year’s cake by His Eminence Metropolitan Ignatios of Demetrias, who acknowledged the contributions of the youth leaders and emphasized their crucial role in ministering to young people amid today’s challenging environment, marked by violence and a loss of identity in Europe.
