Nila Ibrahimi Wins International Children’s Peace Prize for Advocacy of Girls’ Rights in Afghanistan

Seventeen-year-old Afghan activist Nila Ibrahimi has been awarded the International Children’s Peace Prize for her dedication to girls’ rights in Afghanistan. The award ceremony took place in Amsterdam, where Ibrahimi highlighted the severe restrictions imposed by the Taliban on girls’ education and freedom. Forced to flee Afghanistan, she now studies in Canada while advocating for Afghan girls internationally. The prize includes a scholarship and a €100,000 fund to support projects relevant to her work.
