Nine Escape from Administrative Retention Center in Nice
On Sunday afternoon, nine individuals escaped from the administrative retention center (CRA) in Nice, France. While one person was subsequently apprehended, the others remain at large. The escape involved damaging a false ceiling and removing tiles, assisted by a makeshift rope. An investigation has been launched by the Nice prosecutor’s office. The CRA holds individuals awaiting deportation and has faced security concerns, as many detainees have criminal backgrounds, raising questions about the adequacy of its facilities.
