Nine foreign nationals, including three alleged human traffickers, were intercepted in Rhodes after reportedly paying €4,000 each for their transport from Turkey. Authorities identified the alleged captain, a 30-year-old, and two accomplices, aged 40 and 63, involved in smuggling operations. A case has been opened against the traffickers for facilitating the illegal entry of third-country nationals into Greece. The local Security and Maritime Border Protection Directorate is investigating the extent of their activities and potential connections with other trafficking networks.
