David Andrews, a 55-year-old man from Northern Ireland, has been sentenced to 27 years in prison for committing numerous child sex offences against 47 victims, including 46 children. He utilized social media to groom his victims, including an eight-year-old child, and engaged in catfishing and sextortion. Judge Geoffrey Miller described the depravity of Andrews’ actions as ‘difficult to comprehend.’ The offences occurred between January 2019 and March 2020, and Andrews will serve a minimum of 13.5 years before potential parole.
