Norway Supports Democracy and Human Rights in Europe with New Fund
Norway is reinforcing its commitment to rule of law, democracy, and human rights in Europe through a new fund worth 300 million euros, with Greece receiving 14.3 million euros. The Norwegian government will finance 97% of the fund, which aims to bolster civil society in response to increasing pressures. The process to find organizations managing the grant will start soon, with a public consultation in Athens scheduled for December 12. The fund is part of Norway’s ongoing efforts to reduce economic and social inequalities in the EU.
