The Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris, a symbol of Gothic architecture, has officially reopened five years after a catastrophic fire. The reconstruction, which saw the involvement of over 500 people daily, was completed remarkably swiftly despite its scale. French President Emmanuel Macron, who promised the restoration within five years, was present for the reopening alongside numerous world leaders. The restoration process included a major fundraising campaign that gathered over 840 million euros from 350,000 donors worldwide. New bells, including one for the upcoming 2024 Paris Olympics, have been added, marking a new chapter for this iconic landmark.
