Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris is being restored following severe damage from a fire in April 2019 that resulted in the collapse of its iconic spire. French President Emmanuel Macron promised a five-year timeline for reopening the cathedral, and fundraising efforts gathered €846 million from major donors and small contributors.
