Pacific Palisades Wildfire Destroys Homes and Forces Thousands to Evacuate

A severe wildfire in the affluent Pacific Palisades neighborhood of Los Angeles has destroyed several homes and forced tens of thousands of residents to evacuate. The fire has scorched at least 510 hectares of land, driven by strong winds. Los Angeles Fire Chief Kristin M. Crowley reported that over 250 firefighters are struggling to contain the flames using aerial support. California Governor Gavin Newsom declared a state of emergency warning residents of hazardous conditions. The area is home to several celebrities, including Jennifer Aniston and Tom Hanks, whose properties are at risk.
