Paddy Hill, Member of the Birmingham Six Wrongly Convicted for 1974 IRA Bombings, Dies at 80
Paddy Hill, a member of the Birmingham Six, who was wrongfully convicted for IRA bombings in Birmingham in 1974, has passed away at the age of 80. He was part of a group convicted of attacks that killed 21 people. Their convictions were overturned in 1991 after nearly two decades in prison. Hill founded the Miscarriages of Justice Organisation to support others facing similar injustices. He is one of only three surviving members of the group, as others, including Hugh Callaghan and Richard McIlkenny, have died in recent years.
