Paris Police Crackdown on Fireworks Sales Ahead of New Year
As the New Year approaches, the Paris police have enforced a ban on the sale of specific fireworks, aiming to prevent accidents. Commissioner Ingrid Chemith highlights the dangers of improperly used fireworks and monitors local shops. During a recent inspection in Aubervilliers, law enforcement seized 15 kilograms of illegal fireworks. In December alone, 800 kilograms were confiscated, reflecting a stable trend over recent years. These controls will continue until the ban is lifted on January 2, 2025.
