Paris Police Urges Caution as Snow and Ice Warnings Issued for Weekend Travelers
As travelers return from the holiday weekend, the Paris police have issued a warning for road users to exercise caution due to expected snow and freezing rain. Starting January 4 at 5 PM, level 2 of the ‘snow and ice’ plan will be activated in Île-de-France, with speed limits lowered by 20 km/h. Thirty departments in northern and northeastern France are under orange vigilance for snow and ice conditions, as Météo-France predicts significant snowfall and a risk of ice overnight.
