Paris Stock Exchange Rises as Emmanuel Macron Seeks Exit from Political Crisis

The Paris stock market saw a 0.4% increase in early trading on Thursday as President Emmanuel Macron seeks a way out of France’s political crisis. The CAC 40 index reached 7,328.79 points, while the euro strengthened against the dollar. Meanwhile, Frankfurt’s DAX rose by 0.1% to 20,255.25 points, and London’s FTSE 100 remained unchanged. Market analyst Chris Bowsam warns that if the far-left and far-right manage to oust Macron, it could lead to renewed volatility in French returns, the CAC 40, and the euro.
