The Municipality of Volos, represented by Artistic Director Dimitris Piatas, participated in the international conference ‘Theater in the Region’ held in Chania on November 8-9, 2024. The conference included a central speech by Professor Christopher Balme and discussions among all active municipal theaters in Greece. Piatas proposed the restoration of a statue of actor Nikos Skilodimos, which was stolen, and this proposal received unanimous acceptance. Results from the proposals will be submitted to the Ministry of Culture to promote cultural development in the region.
