He highlighted the need for significant reforms in banks’ practices, especially concerning lending and transaction fees, while praising governmental measures to alleviate pharmaceutical costs for low-income retirees. Katrinis warned that superficial reforms could fail to address deeper economic issues, particularly the banking sector’s reluctance to support businesses during a time of financial strain.
