A New York man has been arrested for allegedly setting a fellow subway passenger on fire, resulting in the victim’s death. The incident occurred in Brooklyn, where the suspect approached a woman believed to be asleep and ignited her clothing with a lighter. Despite efforts by subway staff to extinguish the flames, it was too late to save her. The suspect, a 33-year-old man who moved to the U.S. from Guatemala in 2018, was apprehended shortly after the attack with a lighter in his possession. The victim has not yet been identified.
