Swiss airports, including Zurich, Geneva, and Basel, saw a surge in passenger traffic from July to September, reaching 16.6 million travelers. This marks a 6% increase over the previous year and is just 0.3% shy of the 2019 pre-pandemic figures. The number of flight movements also rose, with an increase of 5% to 120,000 during the third quarter of 2023, according to the Federal Statistical Office.
