Payments Begin for Farmers Affected by Animal Diseases in Greece

Payments have commenced for farmers whose livestock were culled due to outbreaks of plague and pox in Greece. A total of €5,685,251 has been credited to the Regional accounts, with €4,737,569.76 allocated specifically as compensation for the affected farmers. Additionally, €785,091.15 is designated for citizens who suffered economic losses from restrictive measures, and €162,590.10 is provided for operational expenses to meet increased needs in managing animal diseases.
