The Peloponnese region has signed a significant agreement to upgrade and enrich its hiking trails, reflecting a budget of €2.95 million. This initiative aims to develop walking tourism and highlight the area’s natural and cultural heritage. The contract, established between Regional Governor Dimitris Ptochou and Marini Beretsou of Parnonas Development Organization, will modernize 1,729 kilometers of trails, establishing the largest certified network in Greece. This project is part of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, focusing on sustainable development and enhancing local tourism.
