Pfizer Reports Billions in Profits Post-Pandemic Amid Decrease in Vaccine Sales

Pfizer’s Dutch subsidiary, C.P. Pharmaceuticals International C.V., reported a profit of $11.4 billion for the financial year ending November 2023, down from $19.9 billion the previous year. The decline is attributed to reduced sales of COVID-19 vaccines and treatments like Comirnaty and Paxlovid. Despite this, Pfizer remains a significant player in vaccine supply, with the Netherlands purchasing over 102 million doses from various manufacturers from 2020 to 2023. Expectations for 2024 include lower sales to governments, with a focus on commercial markets.
