Dutch presenter Philip Freriks has been honored with the title of Officer in the Order of Orange-Nassau following the taping of the last season of the quiz show ‘De slimste mens’. The award was presented by Hilversum’s Mayor Gerhard van den Top, who recognized Freriks’ significant contributions to the Dutch public broadcasting. Known for his long career, Freriks began as a correspondent in 1971 and has been a prominent figure in Dutch media. His final season airs on NPO 1 starting December 23.
