Poland Introduces Mandatory Shooting Classes in Secondary Schools
Poland has made shooting a compulsory subject for secondary school students starting this academic year, following the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Students aged 14 to 15 will receive both theoretical and practical training in handling firearms. While public acceptance is relatively high, a national survey indicated that only 41% of adults support the program. The government aims to bolster national defense, especially amid projected recruitment challenges in the military by 2027.
