The new biographical series titled ‘Maria Becomes Callas’, directed and written by Olga Malea, is set to premiere exclusively on ERTFLIX on December 13, 2024. The series chronicles the transformation of Maria Callas from an ugly duckling to the world’s greatest diva during the Nazi occupation in Athens. It explores her relationships with key figures in her youth and her quest for unconditional love, which drives her talent and establishes her as a significant opera icon today. The series consists of ten episodes, with the first five available on the premiere date.
