A preparedness exercise focusing on displaced populations was conducted in Thessaloniki, involving training for volunteers of the Hellenic Red Cross and assessing the readiness of participating agencies and the public. The exercise included communication network access, coordination of reception areas, first aid provision, and hygiene support. Topics concerning operational frameworks in crises with increased refugee flows were also covered, alongside a seminar on providing first aid to dogs during emergencies. The event was organized under the auspices of the Central Macedonia Region and the Municipality of Thessaloniki.
