A pro-Palestinian demonstration originally planned for the Johan Cruijff Arena during the Ajax-Maccabi Tel Aviv match has been prohibited due to safety risks. Amsterdam’s authorities declared the stadium area a safety risk zone after concerns about potential clashes between supporters and protesters. The demonstration has been relocated to Anton de Komplein, a short distance from the arena. Additional city locations, including the Dam and Wallen, have also been designated as safety risk areas, allowing police increased powers for preventive measures, including stop-and-search operations.
