The Athens Metro Line 4 project is making significant strides as Transportation Minister Christos Staikouras and Deputy Minister Nikolaos Taghiatos visited the construction site. The tunnel boring machines, ‘Niki’ and ‘Athena’, have successfully excavated 520 meters and 2,050 meters respectively. The project’s completion, aiming for 2026, is expected to transform urban transport in Athens, reducing traffic and offering new, automated features for the subway system.
