A recent working meeting in Rodopi explored the cultural, tourism, and environmental potential of Papikio Mountain. The session, led by Regional Governor Manolis Tabatzis, aimed to integrate Papikio’s development into the comprehensive spatial investment initiative for the Rodopi mountain range and Nestos River. The area, rich in archaeological significance and alternative tourism potential, requires improvements in road access and visitor management to unlock its full benefits while ensuring the preservation of wildlife habitats and enhancing fire prevention measures.
